Platform to performance.

Where platform investment is, and isn't, translating into better decisions across the business. One table, one evening, and the version of the story people don't tell on stage.

The premise

Most rooms in this position already have the platform.

01

The investment is in. The harder stretch is getting it embedded across the business, rather than sitting with the people who built it.

02

So the useful conversation is not what the technology can do. It is what has actually changed since the money went in, and what has quietly stayed the same.

03

And what it takes internally to move past the first use case: team structure, skills, ownership, and who is genuinely accountable for the decision at the end of it.

Tabled for discussion

Four threads we are working through.

Select a thread to read the framing. Nothing is scripted, the room sets the pace.
01

Where platform investment has genuinely changed how decisions get made, and where the old process survived intact underneath it. The gap is rarely technical. It sits in who is allowed to act on what the platform is telling them, and how long that takes.

Ownership, decision rights, and adoption beyond the build team.
02

Keeping governance and cost predictable across hybrid and multi-cloud estates, without adding a layer of process that slows everything down. Most teams have picked a side by now. The interesting part is what that choice has cost them.

Governance, cost predictability, and the hybrid reality most estates live with.
03

Why AI initiatives stall between a working pilot and something the whole business runs on. Data readiness gets the blame, though more often it is the absence of an owner, a support model, and a clear answer to what happens when the output is wrong.

Scale, the support model, and who is accountable when it is wrong.
04

Which platform investments are surviving the next planning cycle, and how leaders are making the case for the ones that are harder to put a number against. A candid read on where budgets are actually landing across the market.

Budget, the business case, and how 2027 planning is landing.

Sydney's technology, data and AI leaders.

Senior leaders from organisations across Australia working through the same decisions right now. Closed-door, Chatham House rules, peer-to-peer. No panel, no pitch, no slides after the first ten minutes.

A private dining room set for an Innovatus Media executive dinner
One long table · One conversation
The venue

Saké Restaurant & Bar, The Rocks.

The Saké flagship sits inside an 1800s heritage listed sandstone warehouse at the heart of Sydney's original precinct, beneath the original post and beam ceiling and above floors worn smooth by two centuries of use.

Striking for its heritage and serene in its contemporary Japanese design, it is a room built for long conversations rather than short ones. Three courses are served throughout the evening.

Behind the evening
Host and producer

Innovatus Media connects C-suite leaders around the world with new ideas, ways of working, and technologies. Our events are peer-to-peer by design, private by default, and run with a lot of humility and informal energy.

Technology partner

Fujitsu joins the table as technology partner for the evening, bringing a cross-industry view of where data and platform investment is translating into measurable business performance, and where it is not.
